Program Overview：

Established in 2019, the Major in Language Science at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) falls under the university's Double First-Class discipline of Foreign Languages and Literatures. This program marks a historic milestone as the first undergraduate major officially named Language Science in New China. It represents a strategic initiative by SISU to establish a comprehensive talent cultivation system in language science, aligning with the evolving needs of the nation and society.

This major aims to meet the strategic demand for diverse language talents driven by national socio-economic development. Through interdisciplinary curriculum design,technology-empowered teaching methods, and international practice platforms, we cultivate high-end talents in language science who possess both theoretical depth and practical application skills.
